The Avios: how many do you need?

Search for Reward Flight Saver

A flight to Orlando requires 70,000 Avios + £150 when booking a Reward Flight Saver for a peak return, travelling in Economy¹.  Alternatively, if you want full package of flight, hotel, car hire and Disney Park Tickets, you can part pay with Avios on a holiday with British Airways Holidays². A top tip for families saving up for Walt Disney World Resort? Sign up the little ones for their own British Airways Executive Club Membership. They will collect Avios for flights, which can be pooled in a Household Account. 

Step one: crunch the numbers on credit cards

Did you know, you can collect Avios on your everyday shopping? Step two: boost your balance, even when you’re not on the move

You can also top up your Avios balance while you shop at your favourite stores. Next time you shop online, close that browser window and shop through British Airways instead to collect Avios with more than 1,500 online retailers, including Apple, John Lewis & Partners, Selfridges and Marks & Spencer⁷. Better yet, you’ll find many of the Disney brands here: Shop Disney, Disneyland® Paris and The Walt Disney Travel Company. You can even collect Avios on a subscription to Disney+. Other options include The Wine Flyer – the Avios-first wine retailer that uncorks Avios as you spend.

Step three: supercharge your Avios out on the road

As well as using Avios for car hires on your holiday via Avis, you can also use Uber to prop up your balance while you’re on your countdown. For every £1 you spend on that journey to the airport, trip across the city or rainy-day commute, Uber will give you 1 Avios⁹.

Step four: check in and collect

Step five: turbo-boost your balance

Finally, one of the most popular ways to collect Avios is by booking flights.
